Buying 360 games on xbox one that say "Show Price" does not work

When I try to buy any 360 game that says "show price", after clicking continue and "confirm" it either brings me back to the show price screen or pulls up a Microsoft service agreement window and freezes up.

I spent my entire morning on chat where they had me reset the Mac address and reset the console, then at the last when nothing seemed to be working the tech asked me to try again and logged off while I was trying it out. This was the most underhanded thing
I could imagine and leaves me right where I started.

I paid alot for this console and I pay every Month for Gold, I can't download half the free games because they are 360, I can't buy games that are 360. I am completely disgusted with the xbox support, I assume he is done with me, where do I go from here?

Actually, he is right about that. On the payment confirmation screen it updates with the price you're about to pay. If it's free the payment changes to 0.00. If it shows an actual price, then that is what you are being charged unless you cancel the transaction.
Since you're on a trial subscription and not a full subscription, that's why it showed you the price and charged you for the game.

 

Problem with achievements on emulator xbox 360

Does it show that you're signed in to Xbox live from the Xbox 360 menu? Do the achievements show that they were completed, but do not include timestamp?

 

Then you need to do it from your console

Also if you have either or.both of the following coneitions that you must meet

Be an adult.adcpunt (not permissions but an actual adult.account ) and have an payment option on file

"on file" , I think you are confused with another company?

I fixed it myself , I opened Edge (xbox default browser) from within the console, logged in, went to preferences under videos and panoramas i selected "show still image", under image size I selected "show smaller image". I went back and again attempted
to purchase and it worked.

I hope I do not need anything from XBOX support again, they are not likely to help you.

 

Backward compatibility 360 games for Xbox One require a valid method of payment attached to your account, although they might be free games with gold. In the case of free games you will not be charged yet a purchase of 0.00$ will be filed so you still need
a valid method of payment (a credit card) attached to your account.

You are posting the most common solution for people with purchasing issues. This is not related to my issue.

 

Because I read your post carefully I decided to show you how to solve the situation. Anyhow if you have a valid method of payment attached to your account and this error still occurs I suggest you to contact xbox live chat support, the account section so
they can check your account status in their database:

support.xbox.com/.../contact-us

 

I apologize if I sounded snarky I'm having a bad day apparently.

It seems like people want to give me a list of canned answers that do not apply to my issue. I have been asked to reset the Mac address and reset the console and reinstall all my games and some of them take over night to install. When none of this had anything
to do with my problem.

Any way I have fixed it now, sorry for the snappy attitude.
