    Buying 360 DLC on Xbox One


    I never had Xbox Live on my 360 and just yesterday I got all the Gears of War games on One BC, and I want to purchase RAAM's Shadow.

    But does not having Live on my 360 make this impossible?

    Will Previously Downloaded Games Move?

    No. Buying DLC for an Xbox 360 game, even if it's on the Xbox One, would only work on that version of the game. If you'd want to get that DLC for the One version, you'd need to buy it separetly.

    Buying 360 DLC on Xbox One

    Unfortunately Xbox 360 content is not available for purchase from the Xbox One store directly. Rather you can download it online from Xbox.com and then you'll gain access on your console.

    For your specific example it is found here:
    marketplace.xbox.com/.../bdb2cae2-077c-47f5-ae95-ef60d0ede368

    For ease of use in the future; I find it best to go to Xbox Games Store and then use the search option at the top of the page. In this case if you just search for RAAM you'll
    see 2 sections; one for Xbox One and another for Xbox 360 which both show the Shadow Pack; however, if you go the XB1 version it currently only shows 'bundle only' so you must use the Xbox 360 link. I believe that is a side effect of what I mentioned earlier
    that 360 content is not available from the XB1 store quite yet.

    That is very helpful actually I didn't realise that buying some DLC is not possible though Xbox 360 emulation on the Xbox One. With this is mind, if I were to buy the DLC content on a standalone Xbox 360, would I be able to play the DLC (bought on the
    Xbox 360) through Xbox 360 emulation on the Xbox One?

    If the DLC is for the Xbox One version of the game, then no, you can't use that DLC on the Xbox 360 version of the game.

    For example, Assassins Creed IV Black Flag is a Backwards Compatible Xbox 360 game that works on the Xbox One. However, if you buy Xbox One DLC, then this will NOT work on the Xbox 360 version of the game.

    But if you get the Xbox 360 DLC content for a Backwards Compatible game, the DLC will work on the emulated Xbox 360 on Xbox One.

    Only works from 360 to Xbox One not the other way. If you want the DLC on 360 you have to buy the DLC again.

    If you have an dlc for an back compat 360 game it will work on the xbox one aswell. If you buy a dlc for an xbox one game it will not work.
