Buttons don't work on any controller

If none of the buttons on your Xbox controller work except the home button, preventing you from logging in or performing any actions on your Xbox, here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

1. Make sure your Xbox controller batteries have enough charge. If they are running low, replace them with new batteries or charge the controller if it is rechargeable.

3. To perform a hard reset on your Xbox console, press and hold the power button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds until it turns off. I'm guessing that you mean 'sights'? And is it the controller that isn't working? The trigger button may be broken. Try a different controller and make sure that when you cut the game on, you don't press any of the buttons until it has started.
