    Button mapping with (Fanatec or any other brand) steering wheels


    PLEASE make Simracing a little bit more enjoyable with the Xbox. Please enable the use and the customized mapping of all buttons on a steering wheel. Only on Xbox there are buttons, which cant be used or are just duplicated buttons of other inputs on a steering wheel. Thats apparently the case, because the console just would accept the buttons, which are also on a standard xbox controller At the end, you have a wheel with more physical buttons on it than a controller, but they are all useless

    Examples from the manuals: - Fanatec McLaren Wheel v2 (p.8): 3 buttons without input only on Xbox - Fanatec Formula v2.5x (p.3): Two duplicated buttons (LT, RT) and 6 buttons without input only on Xbox - Thrustmaster TMX (p.9): Duplicated buttons (RB, LB, View and Menu) only on Xbox - Thrustmaster T248 (p.13): 6 duplicated buttons only on Xbox

    The list goes on and on ...

    I did try this on Fanatec DD1 Wheel base platform and it seems to have corrected some features, (such as the buttons work), but it has made the steering undrivable.

    Criterion ruined this game

    Something I forgot to add is that it won't recognize my Fanatec CSR wheel. It sees it as a MS racing Wheel and I am unable to properly adjust button assignments. There is also no support for Force Feedback adjustment or Advance wheel settings like steering
    sensitivity or deadzone settings

    I use a Fanatec Porsche Turbo S wheel. I was able to get the new update through Xbox Insiders. My steering wheel inputs are now working, but I do not have any force feedback in F1 2021 and F1 22. My wheel works as expected in other games, but it's just these two where my wheel has no force feedback.

    Please MS, support Fanatec steering wheels. Many of us have spent a lot of money to play Forza with a good set up!

    on their steering wheel.
