Button mapping menu disappeared - elite controller

Hey, Burtie007! We're still able to see the button mapping in the Xbox Accessories app when you go to add a new configuration. Are you able to provide screenshots of what this looks like for you? If you are, you will need to post them on a file sharing site

That’s a shame. With the Elite 2 controller, can you map a button which changes that’s setting instead of having to go through all the menus do you know?

Are you using a regular controller or an Elite controller. You can have two different button mapping profiles on the elite and switch between them with the switch on the controller.

I don't think the triggers can be re-mapped because they are pressure sensitive.

I just want to say that being able to use a shift button to map capture to a specific button was always a thing in the accessory's menu for the Elite 2 controller.

I had my controller set up that when I clicked in a thumb stick it acted as a shift button then when I pressed B it would record to my external hard drive,
That is how I set it up.

However, I just went to mess around with my elite in the Accessories app and all those options are now missing from the menu's within the app and I can no longer set my controller up this way.

Considering the Elite as you have already pointed out doesn't have the ability to have a capture button this irritates me to no end that they have removed this functionality from the app and thus the controller.

I hope this is not intentional and they fix this.

I have mapped buttons to the paddles with no issues at all, with the new elite controller you can now map TV functions such as volume up and down to the controller
