    Button mapping for triggers and bumpers


    I have a disability and I use the button mapping to make games playable for me. My hands don’t fit around the controller well but usually I can make a controller layout that works for me. I am still however unable to play many games that I really want to play due to the fact that you can’t map triggers to the bumpers and buttons. The paddles on the elite controller don’t help because I can’t wrap my fingers around the controller like that, and the Xbox adaptive controller is expensive and requires a good bit of set up. Changing the button mapping to be able to remap the triggers would allow me to play almost, if not all of my games. Is there a way I could bring this up to Xbox, and if so do you think they would actually do anything about it? As well as any workarounds you might know about already?

    TL;DR I’m crippled as fuck and can’t play all the games I want because my hands can’t wrap around the controller, is there anyway to remap the triggers and bumpers on Xbox and do you think Xbox would actually do anything if I brought it up?

    is this a serious post? its how they have always been labelled... LT / RT - Left trigger/right trigger, as these are triggers not a buttons. LB/RB - Left bumper/right bumper - these are bumper buttons as they are around the 'edge' of the controller.

    I don't see how you're confused and hope I've cleared it up.

    Not shoulder (bumper) buttons. The select (back) buttons were white/clear, but there was no officially released Original controller that had mismatching trigger or bumper buttons.

    Sounds like one someone repaired that particular controller at one point

    Pull the left trigger.

    Pull the right trigger.

    Press the X button.

    Press the Y button.

    Press the left bumper

    Y Press the right bumper .

    Press Down, Press Up, Press Up, Press X

    Worked for me.
