Burnout Paradise 2

I've highly enjoyed myself playing through the Burnout series. The only racing game I'll ever play honestly. Paradise was the final game for 360 and I'm wondering what developers are going to do with second installment for xbox one. That being said...

Who else loves Burnout? And what would you like to see in Burnout Paradise 2?

I think you mean it is, essentially, Burnout Paradise 2. If it was "officially" Burnout Paradise 2, then that's what it would be called.

 

Need for Speed: Most Wanted (aka Burnout Paradise2)

Burnout Paradise 2 indeed, thankfully good

 

The only experience I've had with a Burnout game was one that released on the original Xbox. Never before have I felt such joy of crashing a car to smithereens. Wish I remembered the name.

As for Paradise, I'd like to play that one but I haven't found it when I feel like buying games. Shame.

 

I think that game was Burnout Takedown. I remember renting that game.

 

they basically merged burnout with need for speed unfortunately, I would love to see a back to routes burnout game same as number 2 not open world but a classic racer style again.

 

Loved the Burnout games from the very first one except Burnout Paradise,thoght that was awful,just didn't feel like a Burnout game to me.

 

I also loved the Burnout series until Paradise, It was missing the formula that made the series so great and it was a major let down. With that in mind, I have Burnout revenge on the 360 which I badly feel the urge to play now.

 

Then you need to pick up "Need For Speed: Rivals" on the XBox ONE.

It's essentially the same game with a little less crashing and cops and robbers thrown in.

I thought it would simply be a lazy last gen port but it's a nice looking game that's fun to play.

Damn, a lot of Paradise haters. I personally loved Burnout Paradise. A lot of open world fun.

I'd personally like to see more crazy stunts being attempted in the next installment. More maps and bigger customization for vehicles.

 

paradise was the only racer i really enjoyed, we need more open world car games that you can shut your brain off and just drive. it's kinda ironic, but racing is my least favorite aspect of racing games.

 

The attempt at putting together Burnout With N4S hasn't worked out for Burnout fans. I can't see how people see this, the N4S games are missing most of Burnouts high points. it's essentially a racing game attempting to attach a personality with the player
and their amazing racing skills. Burnout is about setting yourself up for major accidents, re-exploding several times, looking for environmental damage, slow motion take downs. Paradise is more like a N4S game then a burnout game. With that in mind it was
still kind of fun, it just didn't desverve the Burnout name attached to it.

 

I loved Paradise as well, was really fun doing the online "Freeburns" haha.

That latest Need for Speed game Criterion remade was basically the spiritual successor to Burnout Paradise though, I didn't think it was quite as fun though. Especially online.

 

I would buy Burnout Paradise 2 in a heartbeat. I generally hate racing games for the trial and error gameplay and the cheap rubber banding AI but the Burnout games are some of the most fun I've ever had in a game. There's just something sexy and slightly
demented about smashing into a bus head-on and watching your car explode like a grenade.
