Burnout 3: Takedown Issues

Hello.

Today I bought a copy of Burnout 3 Takedown from a local gameshop. I put the disk in my Xbox 360 and it said that it couldn't run the game. As I really wanted to play the game, I went to the Xbox LIVE marketplace to buy a copy there. I paid, downloaded it,
and tried running it. The same error popped up. So now I'm $21 down, own two copies of games I can't play, and am really questioning whether or not my Xbox 360 is actually backward compatible. Someone please help, I really need to play this game.

Awesome Xbox games should be Arcade on XBL

They need to bring back the King of the arcade racers game. Burnout 3 Takedown!

 

Usually if you have issues playing a backwards compatible game, it's due to the hard drive. Did your console come with a hard drive or did you purchase one separately? If purchased separately, was it brand new or used from a third party like ebay?
