    Thanks SOS which I read that sooner, I didn't know shooting her in the a** would work cause Lord knows I wanted to. I think I burned out my old 360 Pro trying this and may go pickup the GOW slim.

    Hi,

    i have an old Xbox 360 Elite and i'm having the old 3 red rings error.

    i dissemble the box to clean the CPU and GPU and checked the hardware. My question here is about a transistor near the port where the HD is plugged.

    The transistor has 5 pins but only 4 are connected, i tried to check on the web and it seams the 5 pins are all connected. Makes me believe that this transistor is broken the middle pin.

    Actually LCDs are prone to burn in and it can get worse as they age. It's is due to the component behind each pixel (transistor and capacitor).

    Also there's no proof that PS3 is any worst then existing BD players. X360’s video output however is terrible.

    I use a small desk fan it cools my 360 well, but the hdd should not just burn out .My hdd stays cool but they get hotter on the slim vs the fat.

    Some days I play my Xbox 360 Slim for around 8-10 hours a day and my console gets hot, but there is no burning smell. You should get your console repaired, as it could be a broken fan or something.
