Bumpers on this controller are AWEFUL! I can't play like this! The bumpers work sometimes and sometimes not! 2 out of 2 BRAND NEW Controllers, same issue.

Is there a fix for this? Is there a aftermarket controller with proper bumpers because I don't believe this is an isolated issue.

If I cant fix this situation. I am selling both consoles and I want all the money back for any online purchases I have made and that's over 30 Games!

Extremely not happy. Halo wait time are bad enough, now the controllers bumpers suck immediately on initial use, no time to break, they just suck!

I need some answers quick before I just become a Playstation guy and I don't want to but if it wasn't for Halo, at this point I'd already be gone because I am totally unimpressed with the Xbox One thusfar and the fact that you cant get a wireless headset
for this system is ridiculous and I don't want over the ear either. I want wireless like on the 360. Get your act together, this is really maddening!

front press bumpers?

hello everyone, yes I am aware of how to properly press the bumpers, but let me say this:

2 or 3 years back when I actually played on consoles, I always pressed directly towards myself with my fingertip on the innermost part of the bumper, this usually increased the life expectancy of the bumpers and is how I am comforatable as I have huge hands.

so:

I don't play xbone but I am looking to get a pc controller, one of my old friends had a gamestop one controller I believe, and the bumpers pressed like 360 ones no problem, rather than only on the sides, was this part of the revision or what? where can I
find controllers like this?

 

Elite Controller is the best addition to this gen

I had issues with 2 of my S controllers. The one that came with my xbox one S the right bumper was odd after a while. Like a sticking click. I bought a brand new one and it had the exact same issue out of the box. Yet my Day One Controller with my original xbox one is still fine to this day.


But my Elite is just fantastic

You won't get a refund on digital purchases just because you're not happy with a controller.

Also with the controller bumpers, I had issues at first with them because I was using the tip of my finger to press it in when it actually works much better by wrapping your fingers completely around the controller and using the middle of your index finger
to push in, felt weird at first, but haven't had a missed bumper press for ages now. I realise this may be of no help to you though.

Just some personal opinion type advice, if a product is not how you want it to be then don't let some flawed sense of brand loyalty hold you back from trying something different. Threatening to move to a different service holds no weight here, no one cares
and won't answer any faster.

 

Well if it holds no weight, then Xbox can do without the thousands I give it every year in purchases and if they don't even glance at these boards to see what they can do to make their products better, than someone over there should be fired because its
easy peasy to check forums to see what issues your customers are having and what they like. Its common sense quality control at lil to no cost. Valuable feedback but then again I don't think they are too smart over there to begin with. There is no way I would
buy the Xbox1 again unless I could get a controller that was TYPICAL to Xbox past products. NEVER have I seen bumpers so ***. They can go from xbox to 360 but not continue improving without harming basic functionality to the one controllers? Someone over there
needs to be faulted for these horrible controllers. If they aren't going to fix the bumpers like they have been ever since xbox launched, then they need to make a deal with a third party and tout Xbox 360 like bumpers and I am certain they will sell because
searching around the net I see players similar to my style have the same issue and they hate em as well so its not only me and no, If I knew I couldn't count on xbox one to have quality from the past, I NEVER would have purchased over 30 games in one week
that I assume we would all get around to playing but now, I am seriously thinkin of selling it and if so, then I guess I am gone from Xbox forever because somehow I am gonna find a way to sell these games that I paid for downloads of that 90% of them I'll
never play if I sell. Maybe I will sue to get my games back. Microsoft has to have some copabilty when it comes to reasonable expectations not being met when it comes to the new product of the XB1 consoles and accessories. Anyways, I'm not happy. If anyone
knows a 3rd party controller with decent bumpers, PLEASE let me know. Thanks

 

I should clarify, official support do indeed look at these forums, but they do not take the feedback into consideration as that's done at the feedback link I've already provided you. I've actually seem people complaining about the controller quality already,
so you will most likely find someone has already provided something similar as feedback, which you can support and comment.

Good luck with the suing and all that.

 

Took me a while to get used to the bumpers, they just need to be pushed on the outside of the controller, they aren't like the 360 where the whole bumper was a button. DA has given you all the relevant info for suggestions however, so would reccomend following
that

Thanks both of you for the info but I'm not sinking another dime into controllers til someone can tell me if the bumpers are more 360 like. Its my style. I played and played and I will go to melee someone and it just does nothing and I die because my entire
main move is wasted. Shoot a bit then meleee and I am a bumper jumper player which I assume affects us more. I have tried changing before to default to use a Scuf Controller and it was just not gonna happen as I have played Bumper Jumper for too long and no
matter how long I could go without a mistake, I enevitably would wind up messing up and once that happened, old habits are hard to change so I nixed using anything but bumper jumper usage from then on but now, I think that is my biggest problem because of
where my finger hits on the bumpers but it also felt like the button never bounced back a few times so when I would go to hit it, it did nothing because it was stuck in so to speak and I am telling you, both controllers were bought new and used for less than
2 hours before I noticed it.

Anyway. if anyone can recommend a 3rd party controller that suits my 360-Bumper-Like style, please let me know. Thanks for the help
