    I am on my second controller and I having the exact problem as before, the bumper spring is borken. This thing is not being thrown around either, at $79.99 each who could afford it. Has this been a common issue for these controllers? How long is a controller
    expected to last for at $79.99 each? In my opinion, needs to last at least 79.999 years.

    For people having issues using the Xbox One bumpers.

    The issue is not really the size of the bumpers but rather that only one part of the bumper is easily forced down.

    Xbox One Controller Problem - Left Analog "DEAD ZONE"

    It's only the first batch, there was bound to be some issues. Chances are, the bumper is an issue with your controller. It would be really surprising if there is any noticeable difference between the 2 bumpers or triggers. As for the deadzone, we'll have to see in the next coming days.

    Unfortunately is a design limitation. The bumpers don't have a "spring", they are a single solid plastic piece that has a narrow bridge that acts as a spring and the material wears out after extended use. When they break you can go online and buy repair
    kits for only $7 or so to fix them.

    But I totally hear you and feel your pain, as I had to do this repair myself on the Xbox Elite controller.

    Have you tried reinstalling the latest system update? It is possible that that update had issues. To do so, do the following: System Settings > Memory > Left Bumper, Right Bumper, X, Left Bumper, Right Bumper, X > Yes. Let us know if this fixes the issue
    after you reinstall the system update. If not, it is possible you have a malfunctioning Harddrive.

    Hey there! Try this before manually updating again: open System Settings > Memory and highlight the HDD. Press "Left Bumper, Right Bumper, X, Left Bumper, Right Bumper, X" and accept the prompts. Your console should restart and re-install the update. Does
    this help with the constant prompts issue?

    Can connect to Internet, but not Live. 4 Consoles affected in 2 different homes

    Hey babalou! Can you verify that the update did or did not cause this by erasing it and redownloading it? To do so, go to Settings > System > Storage and do the following sequence: left bumper, right bumper, x button, left bumper, right bumper, x button.
    Let us know if deleting and redownloading the update fixes your issue!

    maybe there is a problem with one of your updates, i had a similar issue on the last beta when i participated try using this combo on your controller to repeal the last update and re-download it..... left bumper right bumper X button left bumper right bumper
    X button....... it will then ask you if you want to UN-install the last update say yes reinstall and maybe just maybe this will resolve the issue... i hope it works for you bro
