Bullying Awareness post

Bullying is a something that many have to deal with or have dealt with in the past, after a previous post on the forums about online bullying from the replies received i learnt that more is needed to be done to tackle bullying and we need to raise more awareness,
it is nearly an unheard topic.

It happens in schools, outside of schools among children, in the work place and it is now becoming an increasing problem in online gaming.

For companies like Xbox bullying online is hard to deal with as there is usually not much information or evidence to go on, but we can all help by taking steps and make sure we are using in place features such as Privacy
settings and making sure that we play games which are age appropriate.

If we spot others bullying we should help tackle it by using the Report
systems in place. Never engage with those taking part in the bullying, ignoring them and using the mute or block player options is best.

Talk to your children, make sure they understand that bullying is not ok and that being open with you if it happens to them is the right thing to do, some children may feel that they will be punished for being bullied, we need to make sure they know that
this is not the case and that you will be there to support them.Try and look out for signs of bullying children tend to distant themselves, avoid conversations and usually seem low in mood, you know your child better than anyone so if they seem off its most
likely because something or someone is upsetting them.

Adults also suffer from bullying and it can happen a lot in the work place, be sure to speak with those in charge such as managers, if nothing is done there is usually a head office that you can email and they should help you deal with it, don`t ever hold
back what is happening to you, bite the bullet so to speak and seek help when needed., the sooner situations are dealt with the quicker it can be stopped.

If you receive any messages directly from someone who can be identified be sure to keep them safe and saved and give them to those dealing with the situation. sometimes situations becoming increasingly worrying and if you are ever in fear of your life be
sure to contact authorities who will help you deal with the matter at hand.

Talk to your friends and be supportive, knowing that you have a trusted person you can turn to can make all the difference.If you haven't heard from someone in a while maybe check in on them and make sure they are ok.

Educate children and friends, make sure they know the correct ways to act, if you see or hear friends taking part in bullying speak with them privately.

We also need to learn to let go of minor things and try to be a little more understanding, sometimes someone may lash out or be disrespectful unintentionally, we never know what someone else is dealing with in their own life and they may be releasing their
negative energy in the wrong way.

We also may experience DoS attacks (denial of service) also known as DDOS if you think you are being targeted this way try resetting your router and contact your internet service provider. If you know who has attacked you then be sure to File
a Complaint on the user.

Bringing an end to my write up remember to report mute/block and do not engage with any form of bullying.
