Built new PC, installed games from the Microsoft store and they won't launch

Please answer the following questions to assist you properly:

What happens when you try to open the game?
An error appears? Or the game simply doesn't open?
Is this happening on Windows 11 or 10?
Is this happening only with AoE games? Or if you try downloading a new game from the Microsoft store / Xbox app the issue persist?
And what did you tried so far to fix this problem?
In that way I can advise you different things or how to proceed

Hello, My name is Jesse. I'm an Independent Advisor and a member of the Microsoft community and I'd love to assist you today.

On the new PC, go to the Microsoft Store, click on games you own and install the game from there. You won't be able to move it over using a flash drive.

I do not have the Xbox (Beta) app installed at home nor was I instructed to install it when I installed the game through the Microsoft Store. I've pinned The Outer Worlds app in my taskbar to launch the game subsequently.

Just to make sure that I understand, I purchased the full game ($65) from the Microsoft Store, and not the monthly subscription, Xbox Game Pass for PC. Is saving to the cloud not possible if I bought the game from the Microsoft Store? When I first launched
the game and was instructed to sign into my Microsoft account, it sure made it seem like cloud saves were the purpose for that.

Having the same issue.. Launching No Mans Sky through the Xbox (beta) app redirects me to 'Gaming Services' in the Microsoft Store which says that it's installed. Have tried uninstalling both with no joy. It has launched before from the Xbox app, but won't
now.

1. It is only happening to Halo Infinite. All the other Xbox games on my PC work fine.

2. The game was installed with the Xbox app from the Microsoft store.

3. I use only the windows 10 built-in Defender. It is not run through a VPN, I have a VPN for work, but it's just the built-in windows VPN and it was not running while the game is trying to launch. No PC optimizer, or proxy. Anti-cheat would be per game, I do have a lot of games installed which have their own anti-cheat, like Call of Duty MW2. Or Chivalry 2, Gears 5, Warhammer Darktide. Halo Infinite has it's own Anti-cheat software. No mods.
