    Has anyone else experienced this? On the xbox series x though the xbox app I used the remote on the app to try and turn teh volume up... But it kept on going up, so I turned it down and it kept on going down... Even if I turned of remote access using app
    and hdmi - cec and turned off my console the volume would still constantly be going down... I had to finally turn off tv at plug. And plugged it back in and it fixed it Anyone else had this problem?

    Glad to know others have this issue as well, I mean it's not the end of the world but the feature to control volume for the videos themselves would be nice.

    I actually spoke to support today and the only way they know of controlling the volume is through voice commands, which only turns up and down the television volume. So it seems this is a new bug.

    Yes, these are new features with the beta update.

    As for turning up, and down, the volume level in individual apps, you either need to use your stereo headset adaptor and use the power levels on there to turn up the volume, or just wait for the next patch.

    I just got off the phone with support and that was what I was told. Gotta love signing up for the beta! :)

    Xbox one cannot control TV volume

    Having this same issue with a Pioneer VSX-421

    Volume up works in the wizard - but not after. It only mutes. Anybody any ideas??
    Same issue here. I just bought the Xbox one media remote yesterday... It will turn my receiver on/off and mute but will not turn volume up/down. It works in the setup wizard, just not afterwards as people have mentioned.

    I am using a Pioneer VSX-821K

    This is evidentially a bug. Please help Microsoft!

    Hello!

    Have you tried turning down the headset volume in the volume mixer? My headphones use to cut out as well, turning the volume down solved the issue. If the headset only cuts out in one game, maybe try to turn down the volume in said game. If this doesn't work

    When I say volume down it turns down my receiver? How is yours set up? I have my Xbox One going through the receiver with HDMI. Try that perhaps.
