Bug Report - Idle dimming occurs during video playback

While useful to dim the screen after X minutes of idle activity, the newest preview update does not ignore dimming during video playback. This is especially evident while watching movies, when I need to reach for the controller every 10 minutes to wake up
the screen.

trying to watch a blueray

trying to watch a blueray, and the screen goes to "idle" and dims my movie, then shows pop up... i turned notification and pop ups off, but there arn't any otions for ídle dim the screen' to turn it off during video play back... just options for how much
time before dimming....

never did this before

After update, screen dims when watching Netflix

Has anybody had any response for this dimming problem during streaming video. Very frustrating.

These forums are for base console questions / concerns / problems / etc and this report should be in the Preview forums' for players in the preview program to receive better assistance regarding the program.

And since you are in the program you are able to report this by holding the
Xbox Home Button' and it'll appear in the far right Report a problem click that and be directed to the preview dashboard to write out your report,

When i try to play the video it says an error occured during playback status code c00d364. i aplogize the first code was incorrect.

Hi there,

I myself had not experienced this issue during the playback of a video on my X, only had it happen at the end of a video, but that was during a test phase.

I myself assume it could be caused by the service itself that it can't cope with the number of people watching things. Perhaps it's even resolution related.

I've seen several reports of video playback not working properly since launch, let's hope it will be fixed soon

I've had a similar issue occur. On both HBOgo and Netflix apps (have not tried Amazon Video or Plex yet). It started yesterday. The video will play for approx. 10 minutes and then the screen will dim. It's like the Xbox enters idle mode and doesn't know
a video is playing.

Coincidentally my Xbox media remote is not functioning right as of yesterday. The ABXY and Xboc buttons work, but not the play/pause/FF/REW commands.
