Bug: Chat audio

There's a bug i figured out that makes mics useless. Here's how to get this bug to happen.

1. turn on your console with your voice or clicking the button on console.

2. Sign into your account with your voice.

3. turn on your controller

4. start a party or go into a game to test if your mic is working. (not the Kinect mic)

sign in with your controller if you don't want to deal with this bug everytime you turn on your console.

I always sign in with voice but lately have been signing in with my controller because of this annoying bug

Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter - echoing problems?

I have the x12s i get game audio just fine and i can hear chat but chat is very low, also my game audio plays through the audio, so I have game audio then have chat with the echo of game audio, so i have 2 game audio sounds with a faint chat audio. anyone
know of a way to fix this, or atleast the audio echo of the game. I can turn my game audio all the way down and only have chat audio on but im still hearing game audio over chat, first time I used it for my xbox one all day I played with just chat audio and
didnt know because I hear both audios through my chat audio.

 

How to use stereo headphones and microphone on xbox one?

usb wireless or a new xbox controller that has a jack, it works audio and chat

Well my brother is but ive noticed that this bug has been there for at least 1-2 months already. It has probably always been like that

As you said, if you sign in with your voice the mic wont work. This is because the xbox doesn't know which profile the controller you are using is assigned to. This is probably because your kinect can't see you and it can't see you holding the controller.

A simple solution to this is once you have signed in with your voice and connected your controller, position yourself so kinect can see your face and the controller in your hands.

If you sign in with your controller, the xbox knows which profile is using that controller meaning the mic will work for your profile.

Hope this clears things up a bit! It is a little confusing.

 

This bug has been plaguing me for months and I've worked with their support about 7 times to no avail. It seems insta-sign on also causes my mic to not be recognized.
