    BUG: Cannot lower the volume from Xbox remote anymore


    I've been using IR remote control for my Harman Kardon AV receiver. It has worked well for years using the Xbox remote.

    Now something has happened within few days, as I cannot lower the volume from Xbox IR remote anymore. I have 2 remotes and both are having this same issue. Other remote is 3rd party that won't eat batteries so fast. Everything else works. Volume up, mute
    and even PVR receiver control. Oddly again I can lower the volume just fine from Xbox android app. Means that controlling works from xbox and the IR led cable is positioned correctly etc.

    This bug breaks the whole UX of my living room setup. I used to be able to control everything with just 2 remotes and now I had to take my clunky AV remote in use too. I tried to setup AV receiver code again, but same problem persists. Any ideas what
    to try next?

    Probably a recent xbox update or u dont have it setup properly

    Yes so I tried removing all the remote controls before and set them again. It didn't help. BUT! Now today, remote control and volume down seems to work without issues. Maybe another SW update happened or something. This is now solved by some magic..

    Wonder if the remote is just bad?
    Tested with 2 remotes. Problem started roughly a week ago. Maybe some update broke this.

    Xbox one talon media remote isn't controlling volume???

    Are you having issues with the remote while trying to lower the volume or with every action?
