    BT Infinity Home Hub 5 Interference Issues


    So in the past few days we've upgraded from a normal line to BT Infinity 1 and from Home Hub 5 to Home Hub 4. When my xbox one isn't turned on all devices work perfectly.

    However as soon as the xbox turns on and connects either by wifi or ethernet to the home hub, my laptop gets limited access and all other devices can not load pages. It doesn't start working until the xbox is turned off again.

    I am convinced it is the xbox causing the issue but I really can't figure out why.

    Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. It was all working fine with the old line, we changed as we wanted a bit more download speed.

    Weird. My HH5 was a nightmare to get working properly with the xbox one but it didn't do this.

    I assume it didn't do this with the hh4?

    You haven't messed around with the network settings in the xbox have you like setting up a static IP?

    IP settings in the xbox should be set to automatic. If you have set up a static IP in xbox settings and the laptop is trying to use same IP then there can be conflicts.

    Try resetting the network settings to default in the xbox and see if that fixes it.

    Thanks for the reply mate.

    It didn't do this previously, I have messed around with settings previously however they have been set to automatic for a while now. I've checked IPs and they are different on the router home page.

    I am now convinced it's my laptop, Lenovo G500 causing the issues for every other user on the network, but again this didn't happen with HH4. I did get limited access from time to time though.

    From reading forums there seems to be a lot of issues with the wireless with this laptop and I've personally noticed too. I didn't use my laptop last night and no one had any issues. Thats with an xbox, ipad, 2 laptops and phones on the wireless.

    So I'm now sure its my laptop BT Infinity Home Hub 5 Interference Issues :p. Trying out ideas to fix. I'll do a reset on my xbox too.

    Apps give me installation stopped error "0x80072f8f" but games work completely fine. Xbox One S.
