    BSOD errors and crashes


    I'm having an issue with my computer when trying to run any game. In the middle of the in-game installation processes each of my games require, my computer will either completely lock up or I'll get one of three BSOD errors: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL and SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED and SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION.

    I opened CMD in admin mode and ran both "Dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth" and "SFC /scannow" and the SFC found one file to repair. Issue still remains however. I also ran Malwarebytes and Windows Defender and it cleared my computer - no issues found. Since it was occuring during in-game installation I figured it might be a RAM issue, so I ran Windows Memory Diagnostic but it didn't detect any issues either. Any assistance would be helpful.     I'm not probably the best for reading memory dump files. In any case, since you've checked the other potential reasons, it may not be necessary anyway. Many of those Windows Stop errors can be related to driver's. Could well be your graphics driver.

    Have you tried DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller)? Be careful with that website, it has many 'Download buttons' which are not related to DDU. The actual download links for the application can be found at the bottom of the website.

    Before you download DDU, go to the website for your graphics driver, download it and store it somewhere safe such as the desktop or your standard downloads folder.

    • Download and Run DDU. Select your type of graphics drivers (NVIDIA, AMD or INTEL) and choose Remove and Restart.
    • Let the program do its thing. When it's finished, your PC will reboot. Everything will bigger (lower resolution) now because you've removed your graphics drivers.
    • Locate the driver you downloaded earlier and install it.
    • Reboot your PC and try your games again.

    I know what a BSOD is thanks...And how am I to screenshot when it crashes my pc? its a BSOD not a simple error. Im not going to force my pc into another one thanks. It is not a hardware fault as it only happens when I try to download something from the xbox app, nothing else causes a BSOD. Im very sure my hardware is fine, I know my pc. Its on the Xbox side.

    Also, before the games started crashing, I was getting some BSoDs ("irql_not_less_than_or_equal", "nmi_hardware_failure", "Kmode_exception_not_handled" and "Page_fault_in_nonpaged_area") and I found out they we're caused by "Microsoft GameInput Configuration" and I solved it by renaming Microsoft game services in WindowsApps and the BSoDs stopped just the day before the games started closing.
