bsod because of riot games valorant vanguard

so recently i had gotten a few viruses on my pc but then I cleared it and fully reformatted and after this, when the vanguard anti cheat for the game valorant opens, it causes my entire pc to crash and bsod appears with the error code lRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

i've reinstalled drivers, reinstalled vanguard, used the DISM and SFC command and nothing has worked. Can anyone help me?

    :)

Hello Jamie,my name is Marvina, I will be happy to help you.

I'm so sorry for what you're going through, the issue you're experiencing is a known issue that can occur for a variety of reasons.

Here are some solutions you can try:

Disable Vanguard Anti Cheat. To do this, open Control Panel and go to "Programs and Features." Search for "Riot Vanguard" and click "Uninstall."

Update your BIOS. There may be a problem with your BIOS that is causing the BSOD. You can update your BIOS from your motherboard manufacturer's website.

Install the latest drivers for your graphics card.

Outdated drivers can cause compatibility issues with Vanguard Anti Cheat. You can download the latest drivers from your graphics card manufacturer's website.

Run the Windows troubleshooter. The Windows troubleshooter can help identify and fix problems that may be causing the BSOD.

To run the Windows troubleshooter, open Control Panel and go to "System and Security." Click "Troubleshoot" and then "See all troubleshooters."

Select "Fix blue screen problems" and click "Next." Follow the instructions in the troubleshooter.

I tried uninstalling Valorant from my pc but it is saying it is still there. Please help.

Hi! My name is Ben an Independendent advisor and an Xbox gamer. Hope you are doing well!

With regards to your issue, have you tried uninstalling it from the control panel? After uninstalling it is also best to restart your PC to make sure the game will be uninstalled properly.

Sometimes Valorant won’t uninstall and the primary reason is Valorant’s anti-cheat software Riot Vanguard. To successfully remove Valorant, you need to first uninstall Riot Vanguard and then uninstall Valorant.

Remember, you need to close these two programs before the uninstallation. Completely exit Valorant, then go to the system tray from Taskbar, right-click on the Riot Vanguard icon and choose Exit Vanguard. Next, start to uninstall Valorant by following the ways below.

Step 1: Press Win + S to open the search bar, type control panel into it, and press Enter.

Step 2: View items by Category and go to click Uninstall a program under Programs.

Step 3: In the Programs and Features window, locate Riot Vanguard and choose Uninstall.

Step 4: Locate Valorant and then uninstall this app. After that, restart your PC.

Alternatively, you can go to Settings > Apps > Apps & features. Find Riot Vanguard and click Uninstall in Windows 10. If you are using Windows 11, you need to click three vertical dots next to Riot Vanguard and click Uninstall. Then, repeat the same process to uninstall Valorant.

In addition to Control Panel, you can completely uninstall Valorant via Command Prompt (CMD) and this is a simple way. See how to do this task in Windows 11/10.

Step 1: Type cmd to the search box, right-click on Command Prompt and choose Run as administrator.

Step 2: Type sc delete vgc into the CMD window and press Enter.

Step 3: Type sc delete vgk and press Enter.

    Step 4: Restart your PC.

Step 5: Go to C:\Program Files, find the Riot Vanguard folder, and delete it.

After doing the steps, make sure to restart your device for the changes to completely take effect.

I hope the information helps somehow. Feel free to post back if you have further questions and we will try with the best of our knowledge to offer assistance.

    Kind regards,

    Ben

    Hello yusufcan coşgun.

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

Regarding to your information I assume that you have some issues when you play the Valorant.

It seems that the main program of the game Valorant is causing the crash. Please check if you have enabled core isolation in

Windows Security, and try reinstalling Valorant and Vanguard. If the issue persists, it's recommended to seek help from Riot.

If there is anything not clear, please do not hesitate to let me know.

    Best Regards,

My PC has been having some crashes and it gives a Kernel Power Event ID 41 Version 9 Level 1 Task 63, what can i do?

    Hey Tommy,

Sorry if I'm being annoying but the problem persists and I really don't know what to do. Today I was playing Valorant again and the game crashed 3 times, but I play other games that are similar on recommended specs and it doesn't crash. I feel like maybe some drivers on my Windows are corrupted and Riot Vanguard activates them since it has access, considering it BSOD while running ntkrnlmp.exe which is a Windows file.

It's my best guess but I don't really know much about this stuff so I really need help on what to do.

Thank you so much for you patience and sorry if I'm being a bother.

    Best regards,
