    Did Microsoft remove the browser downloading function for Xbox One? I've had my console for over a year now(03/21, to be exact), and whereas I've been able to download from Edge before, I've noticed that, after the first couple of major updates, I haven't been able to since. Is there any way around this, and if so, can someone help me? Would be so appreciative

    This could only be answered by the Xbox team responsible for implementing or removing features. But I believe this was done for security reasons.

    There was an update last year that removed the ability to download files from Edge. I'm sorry but there is no way around this.

    Try to put your browser into InPrivate mode (ctrl +shift+p) or download a different browser to work around it.

    I can't download anything on microsoft edge (Xbox one S)

    they use to support downloads from links in the old browser, when it got updated they removed it, that function will never return, so no downloads via the web browser on xbox at anytime ever now.

    You mean from browser ?

    Well they disabled downloading period over browser it's a sansboxed browser anyways you wouldn't be able to do anything with what you download anyways as there is no file Explorer

    Downloading from the web presents risks as sony has learned many times before

    With their psp and vita

    And since you can't run exes there is little point
