Brought a voucher but can' tuse it for Xbox live it asks for a credit card

hi everyone just wondering who can help me I brought a voucher from game and tryd to redeem the code for Xbox live the money has gone onto my Microsoft account but won't let me buy a Xbox live membership with it it keeps asking me for a credit card can anybody
help me

Missing Xbox Live Gold Membership

Hi if anyone can help I would appreciate it I have brought a voucher for game to get Xbox live but when I redeemed the code it went to my Microsoft account and wont let me buy Xbox live with that it keeps asking me for a credit card

Use Voucher not credit card.

I jus brought a $10 voucher its on my account and also my credit card is on my account when I go to buy something it says its going to charge the credit card not the voucher. How can I change that without out removing the credit card? (I have my gold membership
on my credit card so I cant remove it)

To purchase xbox live you will either need a credit/debit card or a paypal account. You will not be able to use the money in your Microsoft account for that.

Unfortunately it is not possible to use and Xbox gift card balance to purchase an Xbox Live Gold Subscription you will need to either purchase an Xbox Live Gold membership card/voucher or register another payment method to your account such as a debit/credit
card or papal to purchase Xbox Live Gold.

When i last had a voucher or credit on my account it took my credit first then charged my card for rest

No , just tried after reading your reply ... still wants credit card .

I read in the support section , you can ONLY remove a credit card IF you provide an aternative method of payment .

I only use pre paid vouchers.
