Brother Passed Away

Sorry for using the wrong forum. My brother recently passed away. We game shared, but I mostly gave him gift cards to buy through his Xbox, so my husband wouldn't get mad, his is not a huge gamer. Our little brother wants to assume his profile, but doesn't
want to gameshare with me(I've spent in the thousands.) So, I would lose all the games I paid for how can I keep the games I paid for, but give him the account. Do I just let him assume the gamertag and tell him no he can't have the account but then again
I don't want to be rude. The Xbox was willed to me.

Hi everyone I need help my house was stolen last night and lot of goods where took my brother who passed away Xbox has being stolen in burglary is there anything I can do about this as garda can't recover my items as its sentramental item from a dead person

Sorry to hear about your brother.

Unfortunately accounts and digital content are not transferable. Its actually a violation of the code of conduct to give away accounts so your other brother would be at risk for having the account banned if he were to use it.

 

If you did not want to lose access to your brothers games on his account you will need to continue game sharing with that account. There is no way to transfer digital game license from one account to another.

 

Ser Collop, I don't think your husband would get mad that you bought games on your brother's account so your brother whom past away could play them.

As you understand from gamesharing family. There's no harm in doing that.. I feel your little brother wouldn't get the account banned like what smwutches mention.

However like other ambassadors mention you can't transfer digital games. If you could. Then that would be heavily abused. Just like steam games and blizzard account once the item is bounded on the account. Can not be removed or traded.
