BROKEN

After 2 years, BF4 is still brokenfield. EA claims to have fixed the lost campaign progress issue twice over all this time: sadly, that's just not the case. The sad part is the campaign is one of the few war game campaigns actually worth sinking hours
of time into. Too bad you can't count on resuming where you left off, even if you play in offline mode. Not to mention, in-game rewards and achievements made, during your trek through the campaign, are more than likely to be just as lost.

Apparently, this issue isn't restricted to the One. Microsoft has disappointed potentially hundreds of others, with is their failure to inform you how you're paying for 1/3 of a game at the price of a brand new release. Nothing screams money hungry like
failure to respect your customers with a courtesy call, and topping it off with complete disregard when confronted about the issue.

I am soo glad I paid for the base game while it was on sale, and am even happier that I didn't cave on getting all the EPs to go with it. If you're one of the few who've managed to dodge these issues, good for you; however, I went from recommending this
game to bashing in less than 24 hours.

Difficulty broken... It's still insanely difficult no matter what you choose on MK2 and MK3.

That's too bad. Never had any problems with campaign saves really. Always managed to pick up right where I left off.

Respectfully, as you probably already know, you don't play Battlefield for their glorious campaigns. You play it for the multi player, but different strokes I guess. I honestly wish that they would stop trying to include campaign stories into a franchise
that has always revolved around massive multi player battles.

In defense, the game's come a long way from the broken, steaming pile that it started out as imo. I have no issues finding games. I have no issues staying in game. I have no issues finishing games. I rarely encounter laggy servers and my connection is pretty
stable. I have no real complaints anymore as I think they've finally done a great job with this game and I still think it's the best MP shooter out today.

Sorry to hear that the campaign issues have turned you off to an otherwise(imo)great game. If you haven't already done it, I suggest an uninstall/reinstall, but do not play the game until it has completely finished installing . Early on, any game that I
ever started playing while it was still installing has always had some type of issue somewhere down the line. I don't have problems with any of the games I've installed since. Maybe that'll fix it, maybe it won't.

 

I wish they'd at least fix the servers going crap for days on end. I haven't been able to play without a friend all day. I started playing BF4 over that BS Call Of Duty game for a reason.

-- Well I'm happy to hear some people didn't have issues with the campaign; however, there're are still dozens, if not hundreds, of people who've had the painful experience of spending hours on campaign just to see those hours lost by
the next day. Unfortunately, I wasn't aware of this until I'd already experienced it myself.

-- That's entirely a matter of personal preference. I myself am not the kind to go spend $50-60 just to hang around in repetitive enclosed battle-fields and attempt to out-shoot hundreds of players,
who've already capped on their weapon and gear upgrades, while I trudge along as a rookie trying to play catch up. As an artist and story-teller, I play games that I think have the potential to draw me in and take me for a ride. The only game I play solely
for the online multi-player is Halo Reach, a game my boyfriend got me, knowing I wouldn't spend that kind of money on a game that couldn't keep my attention, so that we could play online together.

-- From what I can tell, there certainly has been a great deal of improvements. Similarly, I too have no issues finding matches, nor staying within those games. Albeit not far from the typical online multi-player experience
I've come to expect from these kinds of games, there are plenty of praises I have for the MP feature of this one in particular. As hard as it is to keep me interested in playing a game via multi-player features alone, this game does a fine job, and I do find
myself coming back to play it often with friends, or by myself.

-- Regardless of the absolute disappointment I feel towards how the company handled the stability of the games' memory database, I won't deny that it is a pretty darn good game. I never start up any of my
games without completing their installation first; re-installing did nothing to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, there're just too many hoops to jump to play a campaign that shouldn't have had any hoops to stall you to begin with. Like I've said in the
original post, and now, I'm glad some of us got to enjoy that promising campaign.

I completed the campaign on normal in a couple of days in march. Without my campaign being reset.

I'm.not saying its definitely fix but was ok for me then.

After my.progress being reset 6 times doing campaign on hard ( mission 5 every time ) on the 360. I went for the quicker normal setting.

Maybe one day ill try hard again.if I can pull myself off the multiplayer.
