    Hi, anyone know how or why this has happened?

    Hey MightyMilkMan x,

    Have you tried to use a different HDMI Cable to see if that is causing the issue?

    You can also try to reset the Resolution using the "Your screen is blank after you turn on the console" section of that guide and follow the steps on there:

    Troubleshooting a Blank Screen TV or Monitor While Your Xbox One is on

    If you have tried a different cable, different HDMI Port on your TV and the resoltution reset and still seeing the issue you can check Register your Console on the following page and set up a repair request.

    They are able to tell you how much a repair will be or if they offer a repair Option for that Kind of issue.

    I see this from time to time in my line of work. I'm a Cable Installer for a local MSO out in the Midwest. This kind of screen (back in the day) was mostly caused by some little kid drawing on the TV with a
    magnet!

    Typically in this day and age, what you are seeing is caused by a bad HDMI cable or a bad HDMI port on the TV or device producing the picture. My recommendation would be to swap cords and inputs on the TV. As a last resort before repair, swap TV's if you
    can. If the problem persists, you may want to consider sending the console in for service. You can get started on the service process here:
