Broken Xbox mics (can still hear others through headset but can't reply)

Has this issue still not been resolved? My friends have been complaining about my mic for weeks now.

 

If you can hear people through your mic but they aren't hearing you, it's normally because the controller with the mic plugged in doesn't know which profile is using it.

Try one of these two suggestions:

• Position yourself so kinect can see your face and the controller in your hands.
  
• Go to the home screen and select your little profile icon on the top left next to notifications. Then select Choose this person on your profile.
  

If this doesn't work and you have tried all the troubleshooting steps mentioned in the articles posted above then you may be in need of a new mic and can arrange a repair

here.

 

It's not the headset...it's the update. I'm sure it will get fixed soon.

 

WOW This goes back as far as january? A little while ago, I was playing BF4. While all of a sudden certain party members became quiet. they couldn't hear me and i couldn't hear them. I left then rejoined the party, nothing changed. Finally gave up and turned
the console off. The next day as usual i've become accustomed to testing my hardware before joining parties, so i started a party and began testing. My mic functions properly, mute works, and get feedback when i turn up the volume, but will not register my
voice. I've tried hard resetting, holding my controller in front of the kinect, then reselecting profile. I take care of my stuff seeing how it costs a pretty penny. I hope MS comes out with an update. Also when my mic isnt even plugged in, the console still
registers it being plugged in. Any new info would be appreciated, Thanks MS for a 500$$ home media device that doesn't work properly!!!

 

All the suggestions Microsoft have are garbage for this issue. I don't know what it is either and I tried EVERYTHING Microsoft suggested. I even got a new headset and it didn't work out the box. I don't know if it's the headsets or not but other than looking
through there troubleshooting pages and giving us obvious answers, they need to research the problem and make good on it. It obvious this is a HUGE issue that many are having. I always wondered why people were so quiet, you can't hear them! PS4 starting to
look real good right but they don't care. We already drop $500 in there pockets so screw us.
