Broken XBOX 1X

Sorry to hear you've had issues with your xbox.

Sometimes the power light can flash whilst the console is updating.

If the console is not powering up then make sure all cables are fully connected. If this still doesn't work then you may need to contact xbox support

Sorry to hear about that, good luck on PC.

Try this:

1. Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.

2. Wait 30 seconds, then plug the power cord back in.

3. Press and hold the BIND (controller sync button located on the left side of the console or bottom right if a one S or one X) and the EJECT button and then just press the Xbox button on the console once.

4. Continue holding the BIND and EJECT buttons for 10-15 seconds.

5. Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the BIND and EJECT buttons after the second power-up tone.

6. The console should power up and take you directly to the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter.

7. To reset your console from the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter, use the D-pad and A button on your controller to select Reset this Xbox.

9. When prompted, select Keep games and apps. This option will reset the OS and delete all potentially corrupted data without deleting your games or apps.

Thanks for the suggestions. Unfortunately my system did not power up. However I pulled out my original xbox one and was able to to get it running. Most of my games are loaded on a 2 terabyte hard drive and I am updating and downloading now.

i just started sim racing so I am going ahead with my plans to get a gaming pc. I hope my G920 works as well on my old xbox and my future pc as it did on my xbox 1x.

3x Black Ops 2 threads

4x Halo 4 threads

1x racing game thread (presumably started by Lofty; they all are)

1x thread about a "broken" Xbox

1x 4 month old thread bumped up

All on the first page

Boring, boring, and boring. Where did the discussion go? Where did the discussion about general games go? All we have now is threads dedicated to one game.

I want to stab my eyeballs out with a fork when I see the boring crap on this forum.
