Broken thumbstick NHL

Hello all,

I will start this out by saying this being a father of three children and working the hours i do, i do not get tonplay xbox much. When i am able to play there is one game i feel like makes it worth owning a gaming system at all. These games are the NHL games,
but because of the poor quality of the xbox controllers, and how the left thumbstick breaks all the time. (I know im not pushing hard at all!!) This situation has me wanting to get rid of my xbox and get a PlayStation!!! Now i know some people are die hard
xbox fans, as I am also! Im going to be wasting alot of money with games ive downloaded and accounts on xbox if i get rid of mine. It just pisses me off that they cannot make a controller to stand up to the game!! I guess my question is are they ever going
to make a better controller or should i just go ahead and cross over to Sony?

Yeah I hear you man, coming from someone that likes to play FPS games and Call of Duty. All that sprinting can be wearing on the ol control stick. Even now my controller is starting to pick up some drift, so I'm actively looking for a durable controller
myself.

With regards to the controller, think of it as an investment in your enjoyment, if you plan on sticking with Xbox then you want to have some fun out of the experience. Having a good controller makes all the difference, so there's that aspect.

Am i wrong to feel like i shouldnt have to buy a controller for twice what a new one cost just to play a game? I mean it just seems crazy to me! I do appreciate your guys advice. I dont want you to think i dont.

Yeah I would look into getting the Elite controller, waiting for the Elite 2, or even looking at the Razor Wolverine controller which has some very good reviews. There are plenty of controllers for hardcore gamers so don't be afraid to try them out and experiment
to find your best one.

Yeah sometime it "seems crazy" - but try to think "the Standard Controller is something like the minimum, the basic" or "different needs sometimes require a higher Investment"

Hello DukeofWelding,

sorry to hear and sorry we are usually only users like you. But maybe the XBOX Elite controller is for you. Try to test it in a shop near you, before you buy.

Or build your owne Controller with "Xbox Adaptive Controller" ;-)
