    Broken recording function.


    I've got an Xbox One X. I previously had an original Xbox one. I had the same issue.

    3 friends, all with Xbox One S's have the issue too.

    Press Xbox button.

    Press X to record.

    Message appears 5 seconds later stating game has been recorded.

    Check game captures to find its only 2-7 seconds long.

    I have no issue at all sometimes. It can go months recording 2min 1080 vids without issue, then itll randomly stop working and only record 3 seconds.

    No settings have changed. Ive experienced it over 2 xboxs. My 3 friends all have the same random issue. There is no correlation between mine working and theirs not or vice versa.

    I have plenty of internal space, external hdd space and online space, I forget its name, windows live or whatever it is.

    Is it a known issue?

    Can i fix it somehow?

    But if the record was broken, there would be no amount of needle readjustment that could be done to fix the problem, you would simply need a new record.
