  1. Broken Power Supply.....Again!!!

A few weeks ago, my power supply 'brick' had died, So I followed the necessary procedure, sent it off and received it back (assuming it wasn't a new one). I tested it, great it worked hooray. A week or so later (today) I finally have time to come back on
my Xbox and what do you know, my brick has died AGAIN. My console is less than 4 months old again I shouldn't be having this kind of trouble. It's in a different plug socket so that isn't the problem. There is no light displayed at all and it is plugged in
correctly, the 'brick' is simply dead. What should I do?

If after getting this sorted It happens again is there some kind of procedure I can go through to get a replacement console or a refund as I am very unhappy.

    :)

    Hi Versatile Goose,

This is not a usual experience that I've seen. Sorry about this experience.

    In regards to Xbox Support...

-When you say it has died, were there any storms or power outages in your area or in the home?

If two psu's have died, please check to make sure your power sockets are grounded.

Electrical concerns (not a part of Xbox Support)

Make sure the Socket is not overloaded (too many items pulling more power than the socket can handle)

Make sure the breaker box is OK and not in need of being rewired, etc.

*All of the above should be checked by an electrician and may or may not be a source of this problem. I'm just throwing some ideas out there.

Ultimately, you can get a new PSU but if the first PSU was brand new, I'm curious if there isn't something going on behind the walls in your home.

If you recall, you can order a PSU here -

  5. Thanks for the response, none of the above issues are a concern, nor have been for the previous error also. I feel that the power brick was either poorly repaired or it is a console problem (people who I have found online ultimately had replaced/fixed consoles
which fixed their problem). I am very sure that none of the above were an issue. I feel that if i attempt to send the power brick off again I shall simply come to the same issue. Any further advice?

  6. Also I forgot to mention, trying to replace my accessory online previously did not work as after registering my console it refused to recognise that I had done so meaning every time I got to the checkout screen it would simply redirect me to the 'register
your console' page - to which I would register again only to be told my console was 'already registered' (I hope that makes sense).

  7. O K, if you feel it was poorly repaired, then maybe so.... anything is possible.

Regarding register issue....maybe contact support (not the ambassador chat but official support)

I checked all of that last time don't worry, I did and checked everything I could before having to send for a new one, it's just getting annoying now. Do you mean ring the support line? It says on the contact website that they are unavailable at the moment.

  9. I have finally managed to get the online method of replacement to work (after at least 15 error messages). Say theoretically I have the power supply replaced a second time, and it breaks again, what are my options then?

  10. If you are 100% sure that everything is grounded.

That the socket is not overloaded and that the breaker box is wired to this socket correctly

    more info here:
    www.wikihow.com/Ground-an-Outlet

Then we are going to accept that either the Xbox One PSU is faulty or both the XBox One and PS need to be replaced.

You would want to call support if the website will not allow you to set up replacement requests (one fore each item). If in the USA call 1-800-4-MY-XBOX 9am - 1am
