Hello Misses Quinzel.

I've solved it two weeks ago. I changed my router primary and secondary DNS at 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 (Google DNS) and from that moment all the notification work perfectly. Broken notifications ;)

I'm having the same problem... been a week or two now since an achievement has actually 'popped' at the bottom. The only indication I've got one is the changing numbers between 'Locked' and 'Unlocked' on the Achievement snap.

All my notifications are on, though I have reset this (turned them off and on again). Not sure if this has helped yet.

Any help would be appreciated. Tah!

Notifications Broken

Follow the steps below it seems this issue isn't new to the Xbox community.
First, from the Dashboard, press the Menu button and then select Settings.

Select Preferences and under notifications, Select Show Notifications.

Turn off notifications.

After you have turned off notifications,
remove your profile
from your Xbox One console.

Press and hold the power button on your Xbox One console for 10 seconds.

Once your console is powered off, unplug the power cord.

Wait 5 minutes and then plug in your console.

Power on your console and
Add your profile
to your Xbox One console.

After your profile is successfully signed in, press the Menu button on your controller.

Select Settings and then select Preferences.

Under Notifications, select turn on notifications.
Hey, all! We believe that this is resolved now. If you haven't yet, please update your console, ensure notifications are on, and then let us know if you're still running into this! Thanks a bunch for your patience while we looked into this. :)

I'm not getting notifications in the app on my phone either(Note7). Like when a favorite friend comes online. Maybe it's all related?

Hello OakleyGrant,

It seems like that our previous troubleshooting steps did not work well for you.

We have found another method that we want to suggest and try to give it shot and see if this work now.

1. Reset all of your notifications settings on your Xbox console and the Xbox app, then do a hard reset and set them back to what they were.
2. Turn off Focus Assist on your Windows 10 PC, as it may block notifications from the Xbox app.
3. Update the Xbox app to the latest version and allow it to run in the background.
4. Run the Windows Store Apps Troubleshooter to fix any problems with the Xbox app.
5. Repair and reset the Xbox app from the Settings app.
6. Disable the Xbox Game Bar, as it may interfere with the Xbox app notifications.

To update the Xbox app on Windows 10, you can follow these steps.

1. Open the Microsoft Store app.
2. Click on the three-dot menu icon in the top right corner of the app window.
3. Click on “Downloads and updates”.
4. Click on “Get updates". If an update is available, it will immediately start installing.

To reset your notifications settings on your Xbox console, you can follow these steps:

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
2. From here, click on “Profile & System”, then “Settings”, “Preferences”, and “Notifications”.
3. Now, click on “Xbox Notifications”.
4. Make sure the checkbox for “Allow Notifications” is ticked.

If you have other clarifications, you can get back to us by replying to this post.

We will be glad to follow up and help you.

Sincerely,
