Broken jack on my elite controller

Remove the batteries, unplug the headset from the controller, and give your console a
power cycle. Keep the batteries out of the controller for a couple minutes, and then put them back in. Turn the controller back on, and see if the volume sliders show up in the Guide menu when you plug your
headset in. Verify if you can hear game audio or talk with your mic.

Just to check if your headset's audio connector is worn, try gently rotating it in the controller's jack and see if that affects the sound or mic functionality. Also try another pair of headphones to check if you can hear anything or test the mic.

Basic xbox one turtle beach headset.

I think the headset jack is broken on my elite controller so I decided to use one of those black adapters.... But it won't allow me to change audio volume.

Maybe the headphone jack is broken off in the controller?

I thought the Elite controllers had the 3.5 mm jack instead of the adapter jack. I guess not .

I came to the conclusion it is a synching issue between the controller and X1. It hasn't happened in a few months since I resynced my controllers. But it seemed to happened only with the controllers with out the 3.5mm Jack. My Elite controller and newer
one with the. 3.5 mm Jack. My older 2 controllers broke. The LB/RB buttons broke.
