Broken games companies refuse to fix despite Microsoft claiming awareness of the issues

Murder Soul Suspect is badly broken. It's not just the puzzles that refuse to reveal on the beach but once you reach around 90% of the game you trigger a cutscene with the cat that leads you to the discovery of the mansion clue. The moment this clue is received
a demon will spawn at the bottom of the stairs. Demons are usually fixed in the game so this is a deliberate trap which you'd think would have been checked in testing. If you just go down the stairs without scanning for demons which you will have done before
entering the area you will be killed and the game will break because even though you will return to the checkpoint the cat that triggers the cutscene will no longer be there. This will result in you no longer being able to complete the game. I contacted Square
Enix but they totally refused to address the issue because they have already taken your money.

Battlefield Hardline has many issues surrounding achievements, especially those that require complete playthroughs. This problem was spotted and noticed nearly a year ago. Microsoft said they were in discussion with EA about the problem yet none have been
fixed. Running through the entire game as an officer will usually leave the achievement for this stuck at 72% but nobody knows which missions cause the problem. True Achievements have the ratio of people able to get this achievement out of registered users
at just over a third and this is equal to casual play. If you try to stack these achievements by running the game on Veteran you are likely to get nothing. There are also many other achievements in this game that simply won't register unless you run several
playthroughs. After nearly a year why hasn't this been fixed? While looking into this I came across several other EA games that suffer the same problem.

If this happened in any other industry that was selling broken merchandise it would be fixed immediately I know because I use to work in Merchandise Examination and even if it meant sending a team from the producing country it would be done yet in the entertainment
industry they appear to be able to get away with anything. Abusing Statutory Rights no end. When will we see fair play from the gaming industry. It seems those dodgy market traders I use to see as a kid working the markets selling weighted boxes of useless
rubbish in bright packaging all moved into the entertainment industry.

Xbox repair questions

I would like information about xbox repair; I have 2 broken slims, a 250gb one that broke ages ago due to a lightning strike and my recent 4gb one that's hard drive has failed on me. They are both out of warranty and I would like to pay the fee for
Microsoft to fix one of them.The 250gb one seal has been broken as I have attempted myself to figure out what got broken during the strike using a multimeter only. Will Microsoft fix the better xbox that has the seal broken or should I send in the 4gb one
as they will refuse to fix the 250gb one?

 

this game is crap

Also I have friends that have dsl and fiber and I have cable and both and myself have several issues with this game. Lag comp, footsteps, awareness, ghost is broken.

 

Is there one game dev or publisher in the games industry now that has not at some point released a shoddy broken game, sad to think there is not, but these days as a gamer, we need to do some reaserch before we hand over our cash as gamers can no longer
trust the gaming industry not to sell anothe broken product, and even to the extent that the gamer cannot even trust the gaming media to tell gamers if a game is good or bad now, that is how messed up the whole industry is.

I personally have a few rules i never break these days, and they are serving me well, i never pre-order, i never touch a game at launch and i don't touch a game that has season pass, DLC or micro transactions until it is on a massive sale, and these have
served me well, and i have not really missed anything, that is all we gamers can do now, wait and see before we ever part with our cash, sad but not much else we can do, at least your wallet and sanity will be happy.

 

Played through Murdered Souls Suspect without a single issue.

I hear you. I wish we could go back to the days where they released complete bug-free games and DLC were real expansions. Nowadays it feels that they cut the game to ribbons to get extra money as dlc and have a "fix it later" attitude -.-

 

Games are far more complicated compared to games on the PS1 or before. Back then developers didn't have to worry about the internet, network code, achievements etc.

Also, games back then did get released buggy, I remember one of the Colin MCrae games released with a game breaking bug. I was a bit obscure (you had to drive a particular car with a particular co-driver on a certain track) but if everything was right,
it would delete your save (or something like that)

The game couldn't be patched (like nowadays) and they had to send people new versions of the game to people that complained.

I know releasing buggy games is pretty bad policy, but just be pleased we have the technology to patch the same games.
