    Hello,

    in January 2020 I sent my then series 1 elite into repairs. Since it would have meant a couple of weeks without a controller I took the opportunity to get the elite series 2 and keep the repaired elite 1 as backup.

    Now, six months later sadly my elite series 2 now also shows severe issues which is being investigated by the retailer and which I hope will be covered under extended warranty. Not a huge problem I thought, I still have the fixed elite 1 as backup. I tried
    using the fixed series 1 today only to find that yes, the stick drift was fixed (original problem) but the controller now had different issues: the headset jack did not work (no party chat possible) and the contact for one of the paddles is stuck so that won't
    work either. I have not used that elite 1 since january, which only means the controller was never fixed or I was sent another broken one.

    (I still have the email history of that claim as well as all my documents to prove that I have also bought the elite series 2 around that time)

    So now I am stuck with two broken elite controllers. I cannot make a complaint about the elite 1 because since the "repair" that controller has been removed from my devices. Now I sit here with 400€ worth of controllers and can't play a game.

    How do I proceed? How can I get support for this case?

    Hi,

    Depending on your region the warranty is normally 12 months for standard warranty. Normally contacting Xbox support is the best way to go, the retailer may also have their own returns policy and it may need to be sent away.

    I can suggest trying https://support.xbox.com/contact-us they are pretty good at sorting things out. I had a drifting Elite controller which was replaced a couple of times
    with no issues.

    thanks for the link but it won't let me contact the support because the elite 1 is not eligible for warranty anymore and I can only contact support with the series 2 serial number. I would understand this if the original repair attempt during warranty would
    have been successful. But the actual claim for repair was within warranty of the elite 1 controller, but evidently that was never fixed or not dealt with properly by microsoft.

    The support process available to me will not even give me the opportunity to talk to someone from support to discuss a solution.

    Xbox controller Elite series 2 disconnecting issues

    My Elite version 2 controller has never disconnected but the internal battery will NOT charge. It is a brick unless it is plugged in with the USB wire or sitting on the charging dock. when plugged in or on charging dock the white LED light blinks but never
    goes to a solid light even after 10 hours sitting on the charge dock. I've never seen the LED light go to color "amber" to signify it has a low battery. 180$ for a wired controller less than 8 months old.

    I contacted support they told me it would bee 100$ to REPAIR!! because my 90 day warranty was up lol. 90 days for a controller they say "should last a lifetime".....

    oh and option #2 they sent me a link to buy an Xbox "play and charge kit" ...lol for an Elite Series 2. The Elite Series 2 that has an INTERNAL BATTERY!

    I am beyond pissed off and I get everyone's frustrations on this thread. This is all after going through 4 series 1 elite controllers.

    To me it's absolutely UNACCEPTABLE that Microsoft wont at the least repair these controllers that are defective. Not broken but defective. And I mean repair for free or shipping charge ONLY.
