    So question if I have a broken disk drive on a xbox one s and was to plug in and external one via USB would it work and if so what USB ver. would it need to be and what kind of disk is the xbox one disk so I can check for comaptibility.

    Thank you for helping. honestly its quite sad to hear that the USB has so little function just the other day I tried using USB to HDMI on a xbox with a broken HDMI.

    Xbox one does not start up game.

    If it is an original xbox one there is a good chance the disk drive is broken, as the original xbox one has a slight design flaw causing most xbox one disc drives to stop working over time.

    are you sure you don't have an Xbox one S and not an Xbox series S?

    If it has a disk Drive, it's a one S and it will not work

    I have the exact problem and I can't fix it either just throw away you're disk drive and buy a broken xbox with another disk drive and it will work
