Broken Day 1 Xbox One

I purchased a Day 1 editon back in November 2013. I am now getting problems where the disc drive is not reading games and the fan constantly makes a clicking noise.

i have been told the warranty expired on the 2nd February 2015. this is disgraceful given Xbox's previous problems.

is their any way to fix this rather than paying Xbox £84.00 ?

if you do it through xbox you do get it repaired and its guaranteed by them and uk laws kick into effect for you regarding whats expected aswell.

84 is a cheaper option that buying a new one after someone else tampered with it

You should never ever use any type of lens cleaning disc on your console & getting someone other than Microsoft to repair the console is strictly against the ToU & will end up with a console ban.

exactly why i said i would just suck it up and go for the xbox repair -- the consequences afterwards are just not worth the hassle.

I sent my broken xbox one back on launch day, they received it on Tuesday, still waiting for a replacement to be shipped back. I was told that a new one would be sent out as soon as they received the broken one but they have had it for 4 days now and nothing???
