    Broken/Buggy XBOX ONE Controller


    Hello,

    I have an XB1 controller that has a broken left thumbstick and a problem with automatically moving up on the right thumbstick. I tried to "fix" the left thumbstick by putting in a broken toothpick, but it barely helps and is too loose to accurately move/use. But I honestly think it's time to admit defeat and get it fixed. What can I do to either get the replacement piece I need and/or where can I go to get it fixed? Or is it better to just get a new controller and hope that it wouldn't have the same issues within a year or so? Also, what can I do about the auto movement on the right thumbstick? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

    If you need additional information I am willing and able to provide it when I am able to.

    I'm sorry to hear you've been experiencing issues with your controller.

    If your controller's problem is hardware-related, the best thing to do is to have it repaired or purchase a new one. I understand this might not be the kind of advice you are seeking, however, I'm afraid I can't discuss or assist with a self-repair process. My apologies.

    * Microsoft does not sell replacement controller parts, nor does it repair controllers (Elite Controllers are an exemption), as they are always replaced via warranty service order. This means you'd need to have your controller repaired by a third-party service.
