    Yup I managed to get rid of all the guys in my recruitment by sending them to cities and kept all the ladies as my main assassin's brood. Once you send an assassin of your choosing to a city, it frees up a spot for a new recruit, then have to go through
    the process of building recruit up to master assassin.

    Been a while since I've played but if I recall toggling X button gives you the option of placing assassin in that city.

    What you do with all your male assassin's is assign them to whatever place you'd like in the mission part of the game, thus freeing up a spot for a new recruit.

    You can do that with practically all of your assassin's you currently have, then go over to rescue citizen, if it's not a female, simply move on till you find female recruit. I got mine mostly female assassin's with all original assassin's placed throughout
    defending Marseilles, Jerusalem, etc. (When choosing to send assassin's on missions press X button you'll be able to assign specific assassin there, including adding and/or recalling assassin's from/to that city.)
