    broadband usage

I'm currently downloading the halo master chief collection update and it's taking a very long time, so I look at my broadband usage in the xbox one settings and it says 150 B/s. I couldn't believe that so I looked at the detailed network statistics and
it says that I have a download speed of 13.55 Mbps. why is it so vastly different?

    :)

As I said, the speed test on the xbox one is not very accurate. If you believe it is then so be it but it is well known not to pay to much attention to the results of doing a speedtest on the xbox one.

The only people who i can see not being able to use the xone speed tests results are the people who believe they should get the same result as they would when pinging a server in London? when there are 100's of miles difference in the 2 servers they are
    testing?

My xone must just be special then as my results are pretty much the same as when i go to speedtest.net and test a server in Seattle! (Not London as that would just be stupid)

err it's because you tested a server in London? how can that give you the same result as a test that is testing a server in Seattle?

Re read my post... if you go to speed test like ookla and test a server in Seattle and then do a test on the Xbox one the tests will be pretty much the same so the accuracy of the xone test is pretty good. You have to compare like for like?

It's well known that the speed test on the xone for us living in the uk might show a higher ping as it's pinging U.S server which will bring your download speed down also, it is to be expected but it isn't any less accurate.

@Daft badger having the test ping a server in the U.S does not make the test result any less accurate. I'll bet the xbox one test is as accurate as any internet one you use with a pc or laptop like Ookla speed test as long as you ping a server based in
    seattle U.S.

Infact it's virtually the same result for me same as my tracert or ping cmd result also.

The speed test isn't very accurate on the xbox one as all the servers it uses for the test are in the U.S.
