    That depends on your broadband provider.

    If your provider can connect devices directly and distributes IP addresses via DHCP, then yes.

    If your provider however requires you to enter sign in credentials, or limits access to their own network devices (e.g. cable modem), then it won't work.

    Also, you will need an ethernet connection. If you have a cable connection that goes through your TV cable (i.e. a coax cable), or a DSL line through your phone connection) then it doesn't work either.

    You need minimum of a modem as something has to modulating and demodulating of the signal coming through the cable.

    you need a router/gateway hub/modem to be able to connect either wireless or via ethanet patch cable.

    How many people are using the same internet in your house? People confuse "fast" internet with "strong" internet all the time. Disconnects are usually from that.

    I meant connecting it via broadband cable, because if i connect the ethernet cable, then it doesn't operate that fast and ends up disconnecting me from an online game
