    BritBox won't stream anymore


    Been watching BritBox on Xbox one with Edge browser for six months. It suddenly stopped streaming this week. BritBox ovehauled their web page. The page loads fine but the video just clocks on launch.

    Works fine on Win10 PC with Edge. Is an update availability on Xbox to fix? Xbox is my only internet TV input.

    BritBox claims they never supported Xbox; six months of imaginary viewing I guess.

    I assumed that but Edge being Edge and Xbox moving toward Win10, I am hoping Microsoft could put the same codec on Xbox that works on PC.... Oh bother

    Hi there.

    I would assume they have upgraded there streaming codecs and are no longer compatible with the Xbox Edge Browser.

    There is no app available from britbox yet for Xbox. You could try streaming from the website through the Microsoft edge browser.

    I think that personally that cloud gaming is the way of the future and as servers become more affordable and streaming becomes faster, that physical games either won't be necessary anymore/extremely cheap.

    It is supported via browser, Chromecast, Apple TV, and Amazon Prime.
