Bringing your profile over to the xbox one.

Was thinking about bringing my profile over from my 360 to a friends xbox one, however I heard somewhere that if you do that, it screws with your game saves when you go to play those games on the One. Can anyone explain this to me? If I bring over my profile
to the One will I still be able to play my games on the 360 without loosing anything or having my saves/characters screw up?

Backwards compatibility question

You can login, make sure you are logged into a profile on your xbox one, then hit the back and start (view and menu) buttons in x360 mode... That brings up the option to sign into profiles and download profiles.

Even if you use another xbox 360 it should let you login to a xbox 360 profile and it should just say it was last signed in on another system. I'd make sure you are signed into a profile, if you are trying splitscreen stuff make sure your friend signs into his xbox one profile before then signing into his xbox 360 profile.

Awkward, but it works. Been busting up borderlands splitscreen in bc for a couple days.

 

Game History question about the Xbox one

Ok so I have been looking around on the internet for a few days an can't find an answer. I know that Xbox one will be bringing over my profile and my gamer score which is great, but will it be bringing over all of your game history from your original 360
console. I would prefer if it didn't because I would like this new console to be a new start in terms of my game history so I can start beating all the achievements for the games that are listed there, but that's just my personal preference.

 

It's perfectly fine to use your account on a One and then go back to a 360. I have both and use the same account on both all the time.

 

so i play Cod ghosts on my 360 and it wont mess any thing up if i go play it on his xbox one?

 

Ah With Ghosts I'm not sure. I think that information is saved on the games servers so I'm not sure if it will mess anything up or just change the information.

Both consoles run on different servers. So you could be signed into the same profile on xbox one and 360 at the same time without it affecting your profile or game saves.
