    I get the error "your subscription is past due. To bring it up to date, go to account.microsoft.com and select Services and Subscriptions".

    However, upon checking I see that I don't have an outstanding balance. What else could it be? My credit card info is also up to date.

    Redeeming Xbox Live 12 months subscription

    When you log into account.microsoft.com is all your billing info up to date? Do you see any outstanding balances on your subscriptions?

    Can't redeem Xbox gold card

    Double check account.microsoft.com under subscriptions and services to be sure you don't have an outstanding balance. Also be sure all of your billing information is up to date and that there is no expired credit cards attached to the account. If everything
    looks good on there you may need to contact billing support at support.xbox.com/contact-us

    Hey there JimH96,

    It's possible the ad was showing up on the console if you have other accounts that are not currently Xbox Live Gold subscribers. It's also possible that the advertisement was just there to bring awareness to new accounts. In either
    case, the Microsoft Support team is correct, in that you can only get 1 free 30 day trial through the console, otherwise that error message will show.
