Bring back the old dashboard blades

I wish there was a way to revert back to the old dashboard from 2005. It is still my favorite dashboard for the 360.

Ahh the old school blades dashboard that brings back memories. It was simple and easy to use.

 

What apps would you like to see on the 360 with the new dash

an app that brings back the blades and non of these crap dashboards we've had since

I liked it as well but they'll never let us go back to previous dashboard versions for the simple fact of advertising.

There is too much ad money to be made from the current dashboard layout.

 

I have always wished they would have integrated something like that but I've become used to change so its all good

 

I liked the blades and the ability to change the colour of them.

 

An option to revert to blades would be pretty sick. I personally wouldn't use it but that's just my perspective.

How is that 'terrible' compared to what we have now. Sure I'd miss my Avatar but pure function wise the blades beats every following incarnation of the dashboard.

 

Isn't the current dashboard already a bit like the old blades style? You hit "RB" and/or "LB" and it flips you over to a different "blade".

 

I just want the dashboard we have right now for 360. It was perfect. Why they change it to this windows 8 wanna try hard look is silly and not user friendly, EG mums and dads and 7 yr old sisters who only just got the feel for 360. It is beyond me why
they created this dashboard look. If it's not broke don't try to fix it. I am used to the dashboard and it is simple but it's taking up heaps of memory and CPU cycles not to mention the other useless system overheads that are forcing 720p rubbish game resolutions
and *** FPS. Kill konnect. Kill fast startup. Kill the other bs going on with the OS and then xbox will run better. Microsoft, you crazy hatters, it's a game console not a pc. I still like it but it's has crabs bigtimel.

 

I'd LOVE to have the old Blades dash back...then, I could hunt down my console which is in a cupboard somewhere (and has been since the day after the NXE update stopped 99% of my games from working) and actually use it!

In fact, it's been so long since I played it, I have no idea where it is...not that it matters because nothing works on it now...

Someone has posted vids of the old style dashboard on YouTube. Personally I much prefer the look and ease of use of the current dashboard.
