Brighthouse **** DG1670A

Is there a solution to fix the xbox disconnects with bright house on the **** DG1670A i keep looking but seem to miss what the solution is.

Xbox live disconnecting and reconnecting (3rd time)

went ahead and upgraded my router/modem from the standard Arris DG1670A (junk) that brighthouse gives out to a Netgear Nighthawk AC1900 model C7000 getting Overall better performance and the problem is gone. Get rid of that Arris DG1670A save yourself the
equipment rental fee in the process as well.

sounds cool taidara! in fact I did add an ethernet cable between xbox and DG1670A and it seems to work (so far), although I would prefer to get my wifi connection! however, just in case, how does one login in to the user interface of the DG1670A? thank you!

 

Some on here have said they called Brighthouse and when the tech came out (he also had an xbox that was down) he was aware of it and gave them a new modem ...

version of your console's Operating System?

 

I have the same problem with Brighthouse Arris modem. One 360 is Wired, and the other one is Wireless. The only solution is to power off the modem and back on to correct. when I called Brighthouse about it they denied any knowledge of the problem and
said to go contact Microsoft for this.

I have considered putting the Modem on a power light timer to reset it nightly around 3-4 AM perhaps to help mask the issue.

 

The best solution , imo , is to give the Arris back to Brighthouse , the rental fee is probably at least $120.00 a year , you can get your own , MUCH BETTER equipment for that price , (DO NOT get a gateway , get a separate modem and separate router )

Sure Brighthouse would deny any knowledge of the issue because they don't want to deal with it. With all the issues that have been reported here about this very configuration I am sure they have to be aware of it.
