    Bright pixel from Xbox input

I bought a brand new 4K TV yesterday and noticed that my Xbox Series X input has a single bright green pixel. Its not there on the TV or Apple TV feeds, only the Xbox. I’ve tried different HDMI ports, as well as a different cable, and the dot remains. Are there any suggestions on how to clear it? Or do I need the Xbox replaced?

    :)

Have you tried knocking the game brightness down til the crappy pixelated textures aren't visible?

Xbox One - Xbox Originals Backwards Compatibility

    Hi AP4RK,

I think the lines are being caused by how original Xbox games are played through the emulation and how the TV you are using creates the light to show a picture. LCD TV's do not create or emit light but rather reflects light that varies based on the power
input. Plasma TV's create light by electrically exciting gas particles that then collide and creates a higher energy level which forces the gas particles to emit photons, or light particles. LCD TV's are more power efficient but plasma TV's generally have
better quality due to the fact the pixels create their own light due to the gas particles and this may be why Original Xbox games don't have this same issue on your plasma TV.

When you reduce the number of pixels in your resolution settings, the lines become more visible because there are less pixels to "cover up" the pixels that are having trouble reflecting the light in your LCD TV. Reducing the brightness will remove the lines
because the working pixels "mask" the lines since they are reflecting about the same about of light that is set by your brightness settings. The pixels making up the lines may have issues with Original Xbox games and not any other games due to how they are
emulated on the Xbox One. It could be those pixels that are showing the lines are not reflecting the picture properly on your LCD TV due to the nature of the resolution those games had to work with back in the day.

Ive seen it and its trash but just something with a little more resolution and color brightness. No 3d trdone graphics. Same art, more pixels, color, better shadows. Nothing major!

A plasma pixel can change its state from black to lit in less than a sub-field duration - 1.66ms - while most LCD pixel response time is in the 4-12ms.. That's why, there are some lag problems with LCD Monitors/TV's...

THIS. is why you should still take response time into account when choosing a low input lag TV. Even though response isnt the same thing as input lag, it compliments it because if the pixel cant change faster than 8ms, then the low threshold of input lag
you're going to get out of your TV would be around 8-10ms and thats if your TV has the features to get it that low like PC mode.
