    Hello!

    On my Series X some games produce bright, colorful artifacts on the screen.

    They pop-up with a varying glow and fade out into a glitchy spot until they disappear completely, resembling fireworks. Borderlands 3 and Gears 5 are the games where I found this to happen, they are visible in the menu as well as in-game. I noticed that
    changing the "Graphics Preference" setting in Borderlands 3 to "Performance" (instead of "Resolution") makes the problem worse, but it's still there.

    I've tried all possible settings on both my Xbox and monitor with no improvement. A different TV and HDMI cable produce the same results. Other games, like Destiny 2 and Apex Legends, work fine.

    Anyone know whether this is something hardware or software related?

    I found on the internet cases similar to mine with the following games: AC Valhalla, Bonderlands 3, Cod Warzone.

    I want to know if it is necessary to request a console change
    Well that rules out Unreal then. It's likely related to the GPU still. Did this just recently pop up as an issue? If so, then there is a chance an update or patch in the near future will fix it. If it's been on going for a few months then I would first try for a factory reset by going to your "Console Info" section under "System" in your settings, then resetting everything. If it doesn't fix it, then you may have to submit a repair request through Microsoft.

    That's a new one. Both games use the Unreal Engine so it may be an issue with the graphics driver using Unreal or Unreal on what ever Xbox you are using. What console model are you using when you see this? You could try checking for updates for your console or even a factory reset to see if it solves the issue.
