Bricked Xbox - Failed System Update

Is there any way to revive an Xbox once it has bricked due to a failed system update? I bought an Xbox 360 S from Ebay which was supposed to include a hard drive as stated in the seller's ad. The Xbox arrived however without a hard drive but it at least
worked fine at this point. The console kept prompting me to update but with a weak internet connection this was not possible at home. The next day I took the Xbox to a local gaming store and they attempted the update which failed immediately. An error message appeared
asking me to attach a hard drive. There was also an error code with this message: 43C5 - 445E - B380 - 0F00 - C000 - 014F.

I have since purchased and inserted a hard drive but the Xbox won't recognize it and the same error message occurs every time I power on the console. I can't play games, watch movies, access the home menu, or anything. All it does now is power on and off.

I am beyond frustrated. If the seller had included the hard drive this would have never happened. They are responsible and I will be contacting them but, on the same note, I also feel that the game store might partly be to blame. Is bricking under these
circumstances a normal occurrence? If so the employees in the store should have definitely been aware of this. They did know that the Xbox had no hard drive inside as we had a conversation about this before they attempted the update. Maybe they honestly did
not know that it might brick but my console is potentially ruined because of their mistake. .

What can I do?

:)

A fan or not a fan of xbox one and Why

If MS aka the NSA lapdogs were to make the Kinect an optional accessory then I might consider getting it. and at Rippen if you honestly think that if the Kinect failed that it wouldn't brick your system then you need to wonder then why they are saying that
the Kinect is integral to the architecture of the system. Hate to break it to you if it fails IT WILL brick your system

March Xbox update bricked (RROD) my Xbox
If they are inoperable than doesn't that mean bricked?
"bricking" refers to rendering an electronic device inoperable. It reduces the device to the state of a brick. Bad DVD firmware doesn't "brick" a console, it renders
the DVD drive inoperable. The rest of the system still works - Netflix, games on demand, XBLA, etc.
Small number or not, it happens to older consoles.
But not because of the update in and of itself. It happens because something in the console
fails.

Xbox one x bricked

After rolling out of insider I got a system update. But it failed. Now my xbox one x not starting up. Even osu1 update failed. Please help.
Unenrolling or changing down to a lower Insider ring usually requires a factory refresh.

To start a OSU you must of booted up the console troubleshooting screen.

If you get the console troubleshoot screen, your console is not, "bricked", unusable.

If you are using wired ethernet to connect to your network hardware, disconnect it before attempting the Offline System Update.

This System updates solution link will assist to resolve this issue.

Red light on power brick....but it's not hot!

It sounds like your power brick is failing. Do you have access to another power brick so you can test to see if it is in fact your brick failing. Also make sure the brick in completely plugged into your xbox.
