    Bricked console after leaving Omega preview


    I just got off of the phone with Xbox Support and they told me to post here. Last night I left the preview (I believe it was the omega ring) and after a minute or two it asked me to update. I did, and
    once it completed my console (OG Xbox One) restarted and is stuck in the troubleshooting menu. I tried doing an OSU, factory reset with USB, and everything else that I could possibly do. The support staff on the phone mentioned that maybe I could get an OSU
    of the omega preview and try that.

    Anyone else stuck in the update loop and did Xbox charge you to replace the console?

    The hard reset does not work on consoles with the preview update. You can request to leave the program....but that doesn't get me out of the preview build and you can't go back to the old builds. And out of warranty console are charged 150.00 if it bricks
    in the preview........Don't do it.

    The controller update bricked my controller.

    Hi Volcannon,

    Yes, you can rejoin after leaving at any point. It's possible that by joining and gaining exp so that you move up the preview rings to Delta at least so that you may get a future preview update where this issue is addressed and you can test it out for yourself
    before those in the Omega ring or not in the preview program. Beta ring previews updates before Delta ring and the Alpha ring, where updates are tested first, requires an invitation to join.

    Either way a solution to this will more than likely be tested in the preview program first. News regarding what is included in recent preview updates for the different ring levels can be found here:

    It's the X, I've reset the console to factory and got the kinect working now. I'm on preview program and choose omega level, hoping it was the beta setting that kept messing up the kinect
