    Brand new Xbox X keeps losing sound when playing discs.


    Sound works when starting up or navigating console and it works for playing game pass games. Will not play sound often when playing discs although the blu ray disc will run, just no sound. Tried multiple discs, tried different hdmi cable. Set up as stereo uncompressed and I am only using the tv and console, no other components. Xbox customer support is proving worthless, called twice. No help other then temporary fixes and it will stop playing sound yet again. Any help? Thanks.

    Tried a different HDMI cable. Same problem of no sound when playing discs. It sometimes fixes issue temporarily to unplug hdmi cable and reinstalling it. Xbox rep suggests it might be my television to blame although again it’s only an issue with playing Xbox discs. An older Samsung smart tv is what I use. I don’t want to have to buy another television unless I know it is the issue and not the brand new Xbox itself.

    Keep in mind if you have an xbox one s or x you must enable UHD and HDR mode

    For the S you must turn off HDR when playing xbox games otherwise you lose sound I know because I losr sound while playing tomb raider on my s unit

    I've allready checked disc. It is brand new disc, without even one scratch. Label is also complete.

    Remember, that it isnt only one disc. For new, i've got 3 discs, that work properly against one for Xbox One and 10 for Xbox 360, that gives me this sounds

    Assasin's doesnt make any sounds in other blueray drive
